REV’IT! is a brand that specializes in motorcycle jackets, but the company has recently branched out into other types of gear, such as their new line of clothing designed for water sports. The Tornado 3 jacket can be worn on the road, off-road or even in the water. It combines the functionality of an adventure touring jacket with some waterproofing and insulation to keep you warm when it’s cold outside. Here are my thoughts on this versatile piece of gear after several months of use:

Table of Contents

  • I’ve been riding with my REV’IT! Tornado 3 jacket since last fall and I’ve been impressed by it.
  • It has a number of nice features that make it a great addition to my gear arsenal.
  • My favorite feature is the lining.
  • The lining looks like normal, layered winter clothing and is perfectly fine to wear around town on cold days.
  • You can also easily remove it from the jacket if you don’t want to wear it (or only want to wear part of it).
  • Here are some additional details about the REV’IT! Tornado 3 jacket:
  • The Tornado 3 includes lots of vents for warm weather riding.
  • When I get hot on the road, I unzip the vents and flap them open so air can circulate through the jacket.
  • The Tornado 3 is well-suited for touring or just riding around town because of its ample storage space.
  • There are three outer pockets and two inner pockets, plus a small pocket which fits an iPhone 6 Plus easily.
  • The jacket material is water resistant and has held up well during rainstorms.
  • It’s a versatile jacket that works well in both cold and warm weather.
  • Conclusion

I’ve been riding with my REV’IT! Tornado 3 jacket since last fall and I’ve been impressed by it.

The Tornado 3 jacket is a great option for riders who need a versatile, comfortable, and well-made jacket. It’s functional enough to be worn on the highway yet stylish enough to wear off the bike. And with its multiple pockets and vents, you can pack it full of stuff and still keep cool as you ride around town or on long tours.

It has a number of nice features that make it a great addition to my gear arsenal.

The Tornado 3 is a great all-season jacket. The mesh liner is removable, which makes it ideal for warm weather riding and this also helps to keep you cool in the summer when you ride. If it gets cold outside, the zip-in thermal liner can be added to add another layer of protection from the elements. It has lots of storage space including two large hand warmer pockets and two internal pockets that are big enough for an MP3 player or smartphone.

The Tornado 3 could be improved by having better ventilation but it’s still good enough to wear in all but extreme conditions or at altitudes over 6500ft (2000m) above sea level where air flow becomes very limited due to lack of oxygen at higher altitudes.

My favorite feature is the lining.

My favorite feature is the lining. It’s a nice feature and makes it easy to remove if you don’t want extra warmth.

It is also very comfortable and allows for airflow through the jacket.

The lining looks like normal, layered winter clothing and is perfectly fine to wear around town on cold days.

The lining is removable, so you can either wear it with or without the jacket. It’s made from a soft material that feels comfortable on your skin. You might want to try it without the lining when you first put on the Tornado 3 and then decide if you want to keep it in or not later.

The lining works well as an alternative outerwear item because it is wind and water resistant, so it will keep you warm even in harsh weather conditions (this means that there’s no need to carry an extra layer with you). This makes this motorcycle jacket ideal for winter riding too!

You can also easily remove it from the jacket if you don’t want to wear it (or only want to wear part of it).

You can also easily remove it from the jacket if you don’t want to wear it (or only want to wear part of it). It’s a great option for colder days, when you just need a bit more warmth underneath your jacket.

Here are some additional details about the REV’IT! Tornado 3 jacket:

The REV’IT! Tornado 3 is a water-resistant motorcycle jacket that’s also waterproof. The outer shell is made of Cordura® 2L fabric, which consists of polyamide and polyurethane. The inner liner is 100% polyester taffeta with a mesh lining. The jacket has a full complement of features including:

  • Waterproofing – This feature works well in light rain, but if you’re going to be riding in heavy rain for an extended period of time it probably won’t hold up for long (just like any other non-waterproof motorcycle jacket). You’ll want to wear some sort of waterproof pant overtop if you’re going out on rainy days or into wet weather; otherwise your midsection will be soaked pretty quickly once the bottom half gets wet from road spray or puddles.
  • Reflective piping – This makes you more visible to drivers at night (and during the day) when they are coming toward you from behind. It’s also handy when riding along busy streets at dusk because cars may not see you otherwise with their headlights pointing straight ahead instead of down onto their hoods where riders are typically positioned while waiting at intersections or stop signs along main thoroughfares where there aren’t many footpaths available either side walkers can use safely cross without risking being hit by moving vehicles coming towards them without warning

The Tornado 3 includes lots of vents for warm weather riding.

The Tornado 3 includes lots of vents for warm weather riding. The chest, back and arms are all covered with mesh-covered vents that allow air to flow through the jacket. The front chest box has a zipper closure to keep out water when it’s raining. The Tornado 3 also includes an adjustable waist belt so you can adjust the fit if you put on or lose weight between uses.

When I get hot on the road, I unzip the vents and flap them open so air can circulate through the jacket.

As the weather gets warmer, you’ll want to make sure that your jacket can breathe. If you’re riding a motorcycle in hot weather, there are two ways to help prevent overheating: air flow and moisture wicking. Airflow allows air to circulate through the jacket, which keeps it cooler, while moisture-wicking technology draws sweat away from your skin so that it doesn’t get trapped inside your clothing as you move around on the bike. These features will protect against heat exhaustion and sunstroke—the most common health risks for riders during summer months.

The Tornado 3 is well-suited for touring or just riding around town because of its ample storage space.

The Tornado 3 has plenty of storage space, with two inner pockets and three outer pockets. The main inner pocket is large enough to hold your wallet or phone, but it does not have a zipper. You can fit an iPhone 6 Plus into this pocket without any problems.

The outer pockets are also large enough to hold the same size phone, or even slightly smaller ones such as the iPhone 5s or Samsung Galaxy S5. The left side has two zippers for easy access and the right side has one zipper that opens up both sides of this pocket.

If you want to carry more than just your wallet and phone with you on your ride, there is also a map case on both sides of the jacket that feature elastic pull straps so they won’t flap in your face while riding at high speeds!

There are three outer pockets and two inner pockets, plus a small pocket which fits an iPhone 6 Plus easily.

In addition to the two inner pockets, there are three outer pockets. The lower outside pocket can fit a smartphone in case you don’t want to carry it in your hand. The upper outside pocket has a water-tight zipper that closes tightly and securely, making it great for keys or other small items that need protection from the elements. The two lower inside pockets are large enough for storing keys, wallets, or documents you may need while wearing this jacket on your bike ride.

The jacket material is water resistant and has held up well during rainstorms.

The Tornado 3 is not waterproof. It’s water resistant, but the claim of “fully waterproof” is a bit misleading. The material has held up well during rainstorms, and most of the time I don’t have to worry about getting wet. However, there have been times when I’ve gotten caught in a heavy downpour and found myself soaked through the jacket within minutes. If you live in an area with frequent rainstorms or ride during months when it rains often, this may not be the best choice for you.

The Tornado 3’s breathability is another issue that can affect how warm or cold you feel while wearing your jacket. During warmer temperatures and less intense riding conditions (i.e., commuting), I haven’t found myself too hot or uncomfortable inside my Tornado 3—but if I’m going full throttle on my motorcycle at highway speed in hot weather, then that’s another story altogether!

It’s a versatile jacket that works well in both cold and warm weather.

This jacket is built for versatility. It’s water-resistant, but not waterproof. So you can wear it in the rain without worrying about getting soaked through to your undershirt and the lining provides enough warmth that you’ll be comfortable in cool weather as well as warm weather. The Tornado 3 has plenty of storage pockets so you can bring along everything from an extra pair of gloves to your favorite snacks or even a phone charger!

Conclusion

The REV’IT! Tornado 3 is my favorite motorcycle jacket. It’s stylish and functional, with many useful features. I really like the lining because it makes it possible to wear the jacket around town in cold weather without looking like a biker. Plus, when I’m riding on hot summer days, I can unzip some vents and flap them open so air circulates through my body instead of just getting trapped inside my clothing!
